The system, which is based on the market-leading Scottoiler Universal kit, has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of the new BMW models; easy installation, access and adjustment being the key development considerations. Bearing in mind the aesthetics of the product the Scottoiler BMW kit has adopted a new image specifically designed to fit perfectly with the colour options available on both bike ranges.

The original idea for a Scottoiler system specifically designed for the new BMW range came about when Scottoiler and BMW UK met at the Dirt Bike Show in December 2007. It was subsequently arranged that a new F800GS would be delivered to our workshop in February 2008 so that we could let our technical and R&D people loose on it to develop a system specifically suited to the bikes. At the same time we contacted the UK BMW dealers to test their reaction to the new system - this was overwhelmingly positive! The kit, once professionally installed, will be neat and will blend in with the overall look of the bike rather than appearing as an obvious “add-on”, whilst increasing chain life and reducing maintenance - a great bonus for people used to shaft drives!
