The drive-chain is key to a bike’s performance and a well lubricated chain will: deliver optimum engine power, lower fuel consumption, reduce noise and give miles more in operating lifetime.We all know automatic chain oilers have been around for years and it's pretty well established that most don't work properly! There are two main types on the market today,
1. Those working from the ignition - switch on the bike, a solenoid opens and oil just drips out regardless of speed, power, or the bike even moving!
2. Those working from inlet manifold vacuum and there's a problem here too... The vacuum actually DECREASES as the power of the engine INCREASES! Therefore, this type of chain oiler works backwards. The higher the power, the lower the amount of oil is delivered - so most lubrication happens at the traffic lights! Well now we’ve come up with the solution, the Acumen CL10 ‘Peak Flow’ chain oiler. A revolutionary automatic chain lubrication system that works in-line with speed and engine revs to give optimum performance and chain life.
The CL10 uses top-grade PTFE lubricant that is applied at speed, just when the chain needs it! The handlebar unit lets you control the flow from a simple switch and LED display and because the electronics monitor lubricant consumption, the display even tells you when you need to change the pressurised canister. No messing about. Unscrew the old one, screw in the new - simple!
The easy to fit kit includes two canisters of lubricant, electronic handlebar display, delivery solenoid, lubricant hosing and attachment clips/straps alongside fully detailed fitting instructions. The CL10 delivery unit is both compact and stylish. It comes in two standard finishes, aluminium and black but there are also custom colour options, so please contact us for more details.
